"Non plus ultra": Sell better - Produce more flexibly and cheaper
Because consumers prefer attractive, well-presented products, it is well known that on the sales front it is of vital importance to win the contest for the nicest and most attractive packaging. But it is important to be represented on the sales shelves at least as well as the competition. Now, with packs produced from thermoplastics by the deep-drawing process, it is significantly easier and cheaper to ensure a particularly attractive appearance at the point of sale.

Milestone: Inline technology in thermoforming
To achieve an outstanding packaging design with high-resolution picture quality in a single production step has up till now been possible mainly with injection-moulding procedures. In the thermoforming procedure, either loss of quality in the photorealism, i.e. loss of attractiveness of the pack, has to be taken into account, or this disadvantage has to be overcome by using expensive dual-material packaging. The completely new generation of form, fill and seal lines (FFS) developed by Adolf ILLIG Maschinenbau, now provides all the necessary production and design advantages – also for packs that are manufactured by the deep-drawing process.
